1887/1939 (ca.): Collection on album pages with over a hundred stamps of Siam with postmarks of Penang and Singapore. The Penang includes superb cds strikes on the 1887/91 King Chulalongkorn 8a and 12a, as well as straight line Penang on 8a, followed by a range of double and single ring cds and straight lines on ‘atts’ surcharges, similarly on 1899/1904 issues to 24a, an attractive page of the 1920/26 King Vajiravudh to 25s blue and 25s brown inc. pairs all with Paquebot-Penang cancels, similarly the 1925 airposts and 1939 assembly hall sets with Paquebot-Penang, etc. The Singapore equally impressive including on 1899/1904 complete set, 1905/08 to 24c, Jubilee and Victory o/ps, surcharges, etc, as well as a range of Paquebot-Singapore postmarks. 1949, 75th Anniversary of United Postal Union (UPU) complete sets of four from the 11 Malayan States (Johore to Trengganu) all in blocks of four from lower margin with imprint 'Waterlow & Sons Limited, London Wall, London, E.C.' and plate number '1', mint never hinged and very difficult to find as a complete set!
