1859Macartney cover from Victoria with huge Woodblock 6d orange Rouletted on Three Sides SG 57 (Cat £100 x2+ on cover), to "Drayton/Moreton Bay/NSW" with small-part 'DR[AYTON]' arrival b/s, redirected to "Taroon" with very fine 21mm 'GOODES-INN/FE16/1859/=NSW=' transit b/s (ERD), the cover with a few faults still a desirable origin/destination item. [The earlier 'GOOD'S INN BURNETT' cds is recorded to mid-1857. Renamed Goode's Inn mid-1858 & Nanango 1.7.1859]
1860 cover to England "Via Southampton" with Diadems 6d cut-to-shape & indistinct cancel, 'GOODES-INN/ 25MY/1860/=NSW=' backstamp plus transit b/s of 'DRAYTON/MY30/1860/=NSW=' and 'BRISBANE/JU1/1860/ =QUEENSLAND=' and ' A / NORWICH/AU10/60' arrival b/s, minor blemishes. Rare Provisional Period cover. [Goodes Inn was renamed Nanango 1.7.1859 but the previous cds continued in use for at least 11 months. The Brisbane cds with 'QUEENSLAND' at base was introduced by -.4.1860]
