The definitives sets are mainly mint and the stamps are generally very fine in quality, even the four Cape of Good Hope Triangles have nice appearances (see scan) - these have a minimum catalogue value of $1,000. We note a used £1 Natal (#109) with a catalogue value of $5,000, or $55 with revenue cancel - we have not included this stamp in the catalogue value as it is not obvious that the cancel is revenue usage (see scan). Highlights abound, including Mafeking #162 (used), Transvaal #97-103 (used), Gambia 1953 and 1963 definitive sets (hinged), KUT #103-117 (hinged), Zanzibar #201-203 (hinged, 2 sets plus extra 212-213, $300), Uganda 1965 Birds (hinged), Sierra Leone 1933 set to 1sh (hinged), Sudan #J12-15 (used), Southwest Africa C5-C6 (hinged), South Africa #O28 (hinged), etc. Suggest inspection to better appreciate the quality and scope of the stamps and extent of countries covered.
