1933 Handpainted watercolour essay for a 20c stamp by Ray Nestor, designed for the 1933 competition for the new stamp set inscribed "Kenya, Uganda & Tanganyika", very well executed on thick card (268x382mm), featuring the head of King George V with shields and spears alongside, tribesmen ploughing and an aeroplane below, signed and inscribed "Design for a stamp" with the entry number "262", the handpainted design 238x278mm, very attractive and unique.
