6d pale blue Die IIB with Broken Leg on Kangaroo punctured 'OS' ACSC 20b(3)d (SG 38da without puncture), rough perfs characteristic of this printing, rounded corner at U/L, untidy Sydney cds clear of the variety, Cat $750 (£700 without puncture).
6d brown with Broken Leg on Kangaroo ACSC 21(3)d (SG 73a), characteristic rough perfs, part-'[KINGSC]OTE/S-A' squared-circle well clear of the variety, grossly undercatalogued at $200 (£120). Almost every example that purports to be postally used has a non-contemporary or faked cancel. [NB: Kingscote, on Kangaroo Island, used a squared-circle until 1934]
9d violet with the Watermark Inverted ACSC 26a (SG 39aw) corner pair from the U/R of the sheet, well centred, a couple of faint gum-bends, unmounted, Cat $3000+ (£1000+) for mounted singles. Very attractive.
9d violet Die IIB Plate 4 John Ash Imprint block of 4 with the U/R unit being one of the seven Die II Substitutions ACSC 27zg, the gum a tittle aged, upper units very lightly mounted, the lower units are unmounted, Cat $1500+ for mounted. Our vendor paid $1500.
1/- blue-green Die IIB with the Watermark Sideways ACSC 33aa (SG 40ba) block of 4 from the left of the sheet showing the Inter-Pane (Gutter) Watermark Horizontally, well centred, very lightly mounted, Cat $1100+ (£280+).
