6d blue with Bite Out of Kangaroo's Left Leg [Pos 2L17] State II (No Grass Between Kangaroo's Legs) ACSC #19B(2)da, a couple of short perfs, indistinct Brisbane cancel clear of the variety, Cat $2250. John Bozic, writing in the BSAP "Bulletin" (Aug 2004) recorded 4 mint examples (one in the Australia Post collection) & 8 used (2 with Australia Post) - across both States - and concluded "I place this variety in the same class of rarity as the 2½d Missing Fraction", which is catalogued at $65,000 mint & $30,000 used. Given that the so-called "Missing Fraction" is an ink-clogging variety and the "Bite" is a major plate flaw, we believe that this item should be rated higher than the more famous item.
