Rough Paper 1d carmine with No Watermark ACSC #72ab, excellent centring, a few minor short perfs, 'BROKEN HILL/NSW' cds, Cat $5500. A major error. [Arthur Gray had only a mint example, that sold at auction in 2015 for $5750]
2d orange with the Watermark Inverted ACSC #95a (SG 62w), one nibbled perf at the top, and a normal stamp, both with very fine 'BURRACOPPIN/5APR1922/WESTERN AUSTRALIA' cds, Cat $8000 (£5500). A very attractive example. [The ACSC states that about 20 examples, all used, are recorded. Stuart Hardy's significantly off-centre example sold at auction in 2013 for $4427]
The normal stamp being dated the same day at the same small PO raises the intriguing question "Could the error be the result of a wmk bit that was inverted on the dandy roll, rather than the sheet being inverted prior to printing!?"
2d orange TS Harrison Imprint block of 4 with Small White Flaw on Roo's Tail [L60] ACSC #95(1)z, a couple of minor spots on the gum, Cat $2750. [The imprint is 5½mm below the base of the stamps]
2d orange TS Harrison Imprint strip of 4 with Thinned Frame at Left [L60] ACSC #95(2)z, unmounted, Cat $2750 for a mounted block of 4. [The imprint is 7½mm below the base of the stamps]
2d orange TS Harrison Imprint block of 8 ACSC #95(8A)z, the imprint block of 4 is unmounted, Cat $2750 for a mounted block of 4. [The imprint is 4½mm below the base of the stamps]
4d orange 'JBC' Monogram strip of 3 with White Flaw on Diagonal of '4' at Left ACSC #110(2)z, well centred, a couple of minor tonespots that don't detract from the very fine facial appearance, Cat $1500 as a corner pair.
4d olive TS Harrison Imprint block of 4 with Diagonal White Line on King's Neck ACSC #114(4)z, one unit very lightly mounted, three units are unmounted, Cat $650 (mounted).
Comb Perf 5d chestnut ACSC #123, superb 'ELIZABETH ST/ 2 /12JL17/[MELBOURNE]' cds being the Earliest Recorded Usage for this stamp. [The ACSC states the printing was in April 1915 and the ERD is 15.8.1917. This usage is 4½ weeks earlier]
Comb Perf 5d chestnut 'JBC' Monogram pair with Retouched U/R Corner (State III) and Flaws on 'P' of 'PENCE' & '5' at Left ACSC #BW123zb, well centred, unmounted, Cat $1750+ (mounted).
