1825 (Nov 16), "NEW ANCHORAGE / POST OFFICE" handstamp in double oval with manuscript date '16th Nov. 1825' inside, on reverse of entire letter to Chandernagor, also bearing on reverse framed "CALCUTTA/G.P.O./17 NO 17/1825" d/s, "G.P.O./NOVr (17)/Bg. Pg. (5)" h/s + m/s in segmented oval, and "AM" h/s. A VERY SCARCE POSTMARK FROM NEW ANCHORAGE (only 3 examples recorded by Giles). (Tax Method: Margin System)

1854, "GOVERNMENT AGENT'S OFFICE" negative oval h/s in black on large part cover from Calcutta to Moorshedabad, also bearing black "CALCUTTA/1854 MAR. 7/WEIGHT TOLA/BEARING (2)" rect. framed d/s (Giles 28) with '2' (Annas) in m/s. Cover shortened by opening at top and stained, but a very fine strike of the scarce negative oval h/s. (Tax Method: Regular Taxation)
