1806 Entire letter from A. Thatler, Calcutta to his Cousin WILLIAM FRASER, the British India civil servant and Agent to the Governor General of India and Commissioner of the Delhi Territory during the reign of the last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar. The letter dated '20 June 1806', arrived Delhi on 2nd July and bears the oval despatch c.d.s. "G.P.O./JULY (2)/Pt. pd. (/2)" with add. in m/s (Giles 10) on the reverse.

1807 "William Fraser, Delhi": Entire letter from a College dated 'April 25th, 1807' sent to William Fraser, Assistant to the Resident at Delhi, care of Messrs. Downee & Maitland, Calcutta. On the reverse with "SHIP*LETTER CALCUTTA/Bg-Ptge/NOV /180 " c.d.s. in red (Giles SR3), framed "Inld. Ptg. (14)/Ship Do. (4)" in black (Giles SR6) and red "G.P.O./NOV 16/1807" arrival c.d.s in red, and on front with note "Rec.d 30th Nov. 1807 Delhi". 1857 "Mutiny of the Bengal Sepoys": Two Soldier's letters + covers written by Sergeant Bowen, 14th Light Dragoons, East India, signed by Major Commanding 14th Light Dragoons resp. Major Commanding Cavalery Depot Kirkee, sent from Kirkee to Birmingham via Bombay. The first one (24th June 1857) with red oval d/s "KIRKEE/1857 /FREE" (Giles 4), the second one (24th Oct. 1857) bears trisected framed "KIRKEE/1857 /Paid." d/s in red (Giles 5), both with red "INDIA" in oval, and backstamped Bombay and London dater as well as Birmingham arrival cds. The shocking letters describing the Sepoy Mutiny in detail. Both letters and both covers well written up on pages with several shocking details described in the letters.
