1845 COVERS TO GB INC. REDIRECTED WITH 1d RED IMPERF - July 1845 E to London charged 2/3 in ms and with red boxed INDIA arrival mark. Then redirected to Kent with 1841 1d red imperf tied by London numeral. Calcutta, London & Ramsgate marks on the back along with fine large oval 'FLETCHER, ALEXANDER & Co' agent cachet. 1870 CONGREVE PRINTED 8A 'STAMP OFFICE' DOCUMENT (No. 43): A complete 1870 document (a few minor nibbles commensurate with age) with fine Congreve method printed "STAMP OFFICE" V.R. VERY SCARCE 1903 INTACT POSTAL GUIDE INCLUDING THE TWO PAGES OF STAMPS - very good condition with just some rust spots though binding is good, very difficult to find intact as 5000 were sold though most have had the two pages of stamps with values to 5r removed. The stamps are on two bound-in pages, both pages very fine, and all are cancelled to order by Delhi Durbar cds handstamps for 1 Jan. 1903.Cross Reference: LITERATURE - PHILATELIC (Image)

UNRECORDED AIRMAIL CRASH INCIDENT; 26 May 1933 large env. to Bombay franked 1/- + ½d tied by Scarborough d.s. with airmail label at left, apparently underpaid with "T" hexagon and "OVERLAND POSTAGE/DUE/4/7" h.s. on front, Framed "DAMAGED DURING/TRANSIT BY AIR" - applied in India presumably due to a crash but unrecorded by Nierinck with "FOUND/OPEN/OR/DAMAGED seal at top and rear with six Bombay d.s. inc. octagonal "BOMBAY/UNPAID".
