(2), cancelled by "Victoria/Hong Kong" c.d.s., $10 at upper right corner of envelope faults, envelope folded vertically at centre and some edge creasing (as to be expected on such a large envelope), a magnificent unusually high franking with the prewar $10 and one of the highlights of the covers ($2.80 half ounce airmail rate x 39, for 19½ oz.). S.G. 143, 145, 157, 159, 161.

Hong Kong, 1945 K.G.VI perf. 14½ x 14 30c. yellowish olive left pane of 60, variety printed and perforated at an angle, resulting also in the watermark in the stamps likewise at an angle, very fine and fresh unmounted mint, few faint rust traces on reverse noted for accuracy, a remarkable and striking variety. The only example of a diagonal watermark for any colony Mr. Halewood has seen on a K.G.VI stamp. S.G. 151a var; Yang 151 var.
