1819 "Royalty" "Licence of Alienation" parchment legal document (38 x 64 cm, folded), with embossed £1/15/- revenue stamp ("GR" cypher seal on back) & with attached large seal (inside wafer)/ From the dean & canons of the Royal Chapel of Windsor, premitting George Ward Hussey, butcher, to sublet his property, "a tenement at the corner of Datchet Lane" in New Windsor, toe John Stroud, butcher. The text begins "To all Christian People". Extraordinary "copperplate" calligraphy (hand-written)). A legal work of art!. Very fine condition.

1942 neat commercial cover posted in London without stamp, machine d/s 24 AUG, with very fine boxed "5D TO PAY POSTED UNPAID". On delivery, 2d & 3d Postage Due stamps added & canc light Rotherhithe cds. Very fine. Written up on page.
