SG DP36, 1872 1d Black, South Kensington Exhibition, Die II, Alphabet III, Plate 27, Imperforate plate proof on thick white card, bottom margin block of four with clear to full margins the other sides, SH-TI, some trivial moisture staining on back side, Very Fine and scarce; After plate 27 was retired, Perkins, Bacon & Co were permitted to make a print of it in black on proof paper for exhibition purposes.
