1840-70 Line Engraved issues in four albums with 1d blacks (8, two fine, one of these on cover), 1840 2d blues (2), extensive plating studies of imperf and perforated 1d reds with a few black plates, various varieties and re-entries, numbers in Maltese Crosses, some covers and a few mint stamps. Very mixed quality but many fine. (1,000s).

1865 Entire letter from Newcastle on Tyne to Sweden bearing 1858 2d blue plate 9 (5, two pairs + single) and a 1d red, blue Aachen transit c.d.s and "FRANCO" with "SODRA ST. BANEN" backstamp and blue "Wfr. 33/4". Horizontal fold through the 1d red and one 2d blue otherwise fine and an attractive franking, this 11d rate via Belgium and Stralsund only applicable from June until October 1865.
