1824-40 PERTH postal history: A group of pre stamp : covers From 1824 E to Edinburgh with back 3-line datestamp (Auckland PH394a); 1827 to Ednburgh with a smaller type version of the same mark; 1828 E to Edinburgh with cds (Auckland type PH398), 'PAID AT PERTH' (Auckland PH412a) framed in black on 1839 E to Southwell, charged 1/1; another also in black, on 27 Dec 1840 E to Aberdeen with red m/s '4' for the Uniform Fourpenny Post; 1840 Feb cover to Abderdeen with red framed PAID at PERTH) with red mss '1' & Perth cds and another with the same mark to Edinburgh 18 May 1840, this with a handstruck red '1'.
