1760-1809 A group of 5 covers from the period. 1805 E London to Ipswich with Inspectors single lined star in red, rated 6 in m/s; Edinburgh Penny Post entire with mss '1' charge mark in black; 1760 Inverary to Barcaldine no postal markings; 1808 E from Sweden (Gothenburg) to London with 'Foreign cds' in black, no Swedish marks, '1/6' mss unpaid mark in black; and 1809 E from Faversham with mileage mark 'Feversham/47', signed at bottom 'Free/ W.Reastick'. This being the charge for letters from Russia via Amsterdam. A small framed figure 5 is struck over the Russian mark. 1827 An incoming entire from Cadiz with red Cadiz handstamp, black 'Espagne par Bayonne' to indicate the rout & on arrival the charge mark '1¼' in manuscript which preceded the black handstamp 'at 8s/8d per Oz'.
