Valuable collection of Kangaroos and King George V Heads from a European source with numerous items that would usually have been broken-out as singles. The first volume is all Kangaroos with First Wmk including 1d Die I with the Watermark Sideways, 1d block of 4 with Double Perfs (creased), 1d with the Watermark Inverted block of 4 (*/**), 1d 'CA' and 'JBC' Monogram singles; Second Wmk to 5/- including 1/- dull green; Third Wmk including 2d & 3d blocks of 4 both with the Watermark Inverted and unmounted, 2/- brown (**), 5/- with the Kangaroo Misplaced to Upper-Left and £1 grey x2 (one **), plus 'SPECIMEN' Type B set of 3; SMult Wmk to 10/- x2 (both **); CofA Wmk 10/- x4 including an Aniline Shade plus 'SPECIMEN' Type C, a few other blocks & careful inspection will reveal plenty of varieties. The two volumes of KGV Heads offer numerous catalogued varieties - many in multiples - including 1½d red Cracked Electro ACSC 89(23)r, then Single Wmk 1d red Die II punctured 'OS', 1½d Printed on the Gummed Side punctured 'OS', 2d orange & 2d scarlet both with the Watermark Inverted and punctured 'OS', a beautiful 4d ultramarine block of 4 (**) & 5d block of 4 plus Harrison Imprint blocks of the 1d violet, 2d brown & 4½d; LMult Wmk 1d red Harrison Imprint blocks of 4 & 9 (from the L/H pane but with full imprint) & 1½d black-brown block of 4 with the Watermark Inverted and a Harrison Imprint block of 8 (4x2); SMult Wmk Perf 14 to 1/4d (**) plus 'OS' punctures ½d orange 2d brown strip of 3 and 4d all unmounted; SMult Wmk Perf 13½x12½ 3d Types A-A/A-B block of 4 (**), 4d punctured 'OS' block of 4 (**) & 4½d block of 4 (minor toning); CofA Wmk 5d imprint block of 4; etc etc. Some of the stamps stated to be 'unmounted' have been hinged and there are a few condition issues. However, overall, a fine to very fine collection. We haven't attempted to calculate the current catalogue value but it will be substantial. The previous owner made little labels with ACSC catalogue numbers and his costs, that total some $110,000. An excellent basis for serious expansion, or an ideal lot for a retailer or ebay trader.
