TEWKESBURY/UPTON-ON-SEVERN - UNIQUE(?) MANUSCRIPT "Py Post" BELOW RED "TEWKESBURY", ETC; The famous 8 June 1835 EL from "UPTON" (fair UDC on flap) to London with a mainly fine red "TEWKESBURY" nicely placed on the front with very rare claret manuscript "Py Post" alongside; believed to be the sole recorded example of this Manuscript type [illustrated in Oxley's Penny Posts book, p.63], 1837 EL ex the same correspondence but with mainly v. fine unframed red "Tewkesbury/Penny Post", similar 1832 EL with the framed red type, and 1836 EL to Bristol with m/s "1" rate.
