Falkland Islands: 1934 H.M.S. EXETER AIRMAIL COVER carried by seaplane launched by catapult from H.M.S. "Exeter" whilst in Falklands waters. Endorsed "Air Mail/Par Avion/Via Aerea" and addressed to "Miss Bossingham/c/o Mrs Bonner/San Carlos/Falkland Islands/S.A.", bearing 1933 Centenary 2d. handstamped "AIR MAIL" in violet and tied by PS.1A "30 NO/34" c.d.s., backstamped "5 JA/35`", horizontal cover fold at foot. (2) and 80c. Dutch adhesives, backstamped Berlin Dec. 8 and Montevideo Dec. 13 with original enclosed letter in which the sender promises "I send you also two wooden shoes with the intention people of the F.I. will try to walk in them" and 1951 letter from Francis J. John Francis "Jack" Bonner (1905-1958), only son of George Bonner, took over the management of San Carlos in 1927 and its ownership after the death of his father in 1940.
