Cat No:138 var.

Falkland Islands: 1933 Centenary £1 from the second printing, a mint horizontal pair with Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. imprint showing the distinctive narrower lower selvedge characteristic of this printing, tiny thin on reverse of selvedge, otherwise fine and rare. S.G. 138 var. Ex Barton and Riddell-Carre. Photo. Due to their very similar colours, distinction between the two printings of the £1 can only be confidently made by the width of the selvedge. This item is consequently one of very few that can be stated with confidence to be from the second printing. As is assumed that the quantity of the £1 destroyed in 1934 (1,009) consisted of the second printing (1,320) only, it is doubly clear that this item is of the greatest rarity and desirability.
