18P. Aerogram sent by a soldier on the Islands to his family in Buenos Aires on 16/AP/1982. Having recently arrived to the front, he describes the trip from Buenos Aires and his first impressions on the people and the islands, for example: "...the civilians here are English, and the English greet us as if nothing happened. The truth is that we don´t understand anything, because the city is beautiful, the people are nice... The English people go around in motorcycles, walking, they greet us, it´s a normal life, it's unbelievable... the English women are very beautiful, and all day they pass by and greet us...", very interesting, fine quality! FALKLANDS WAR: Cover sent by a 15-year-old girl to a soldier that she did not know on 13/MAY/1982, including the original letter with a long reflection about patriotism and friendship. During the war, several schools in Argentina encouranged students to write letters to the soldiers to establish bonds of friendship and give them moral support. Fine quality, rare (mail from family and friends to soldiers at the front, when preserved by those soldiers, was seized by the British along with any other belongings when the Argentines surrendered, and for that reason it is very scarce!)
