1820-1908 "CAPE OF GOOD HOPE - POSTAL HISTORY": Specialized collection of hundreds of stamps and more than 50 covers, written up on pages, and on stockpages, starting with a wide range of mostly different early British postmarks on 22 stampless covers (1820-1851 ca.), followed by a specialized section of about 140 triangle stamps including Perkins, Bacon & Co. and De La Rue issues with many colour shades, multiples and covers (as 1d. block of four on blued paper on 1855 cover from Grahamstown to Cape Town), three woodblocks and many others (with several certificates), also a similar section of the rectangular issues 1864-1904 with colour shades, covers etc., and few others like fiscal stamps. This fine collection was built by a German collector with passion and knowledge, and it is accompanied by handbooks, old auction catalogues, a lot of further information about stamps and postmarks, cut-outs from auction catalogues along with background information, listings etc.
A RECOMMENDABLE POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION. (Image)
