JAMAICA - POSTAL HISTORY: 1892 (June 8) cover to Kingston with QV 1d purple & mauve solo tied by very fine complete strike of 'G14' Numeral-in-Bars with identifiable 'HAMPDEN/JAMAICA' and arrival b/s, a couple of minor blemishes. Hampden PO -.6.1873; village in the Trelawny Parish. Proud records the numeral used from 8.6.1892 to 2.1.1901 only, this item being the earliest known usage.

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: 1941 (March 29) to Australia with KGVI Pictorials 12c & 24c x2 tied 'GPO PORT OF SPAIN' cds, 'TO USA/ONLY/BY AIR' cachet in violet on face, censored locally with brown resealing tape tied by 'OPENED BY CENSOR No.5' h/s and again on arrival with Melbourne label, very fine, plus 1943 (April 10) to Melbourne with KGVI Pictorials 6c & 24c with 'I.E/8680' local censor label tied Chicago 'APR14/1943' b/s, minor blemishes. The rate was 30c per ½oz rate for PanAm service to USA and onwards by surface, the first item paying double rate.
