1919, Egypt 4 x 10 M blue together with Palestine 8 x 5 M orange, mixed franking on registered cover to Cambridge USA and domestically redirected to Belmont, endorsed manuscript sender from Tarsus (Cilicia), all stamps postmarked PORT-SAID, 22.MA.19, envelope doubly sealed with censortapes and subsequently with seven USA post office seals (Scott OX15), various postmarks applied on reverse. The identical 40 M franking (30 M triple letter rate + 10 M registration rate) with Egypt as well as Palestine stamps was obviously made considering an uncertain validity of E.E.F stamps outside British Empire states.
