Collection of Mint and Used Antigua, 1863-1980s, consisting of a few hundred stamps and souvenir sheets, primarily in hingeless black mounts, on mostly quadrille pages. The collection begins with mint and used Victorian issues including Scott #s: 2 (mint hinged, c.v. $135), 13 (used, c.v. $67), 19 (used, c.v. $150), along with a few mint Seal of the Colony issues. The collection continues with mint King George V St. John's Harbour issues, including #55-57 (mint, c.v. $157 total), 64 (never hinged, c.v. $300), with a continuation of mint and used stamps up to 1973, and primarily mint stamps up to the 1980s (with Antigua & Barbuda issues). Catalogue value up to 1972 only, with a few of the early stamps having small fault. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)

Mint and Used Collections of Antigua and Barbuda, 1863 to 1980, on older album pages in a binder. Some of the better items we encountered include #s 2 (mint c.v. $135), 13 (mint c.v. $225), 15 (mint c.v. $400), 28 (mint c.v. $95). This collection is mostly mint and includes many complete definitive sets, with the period 1932 to 1970 basically complete by album illustration. In some instances there is also a used example of a given issue under the mint one. Included also is a Barbuda collection which we estimate to be 70% complete from 1968 to 1980 with more modern material for both countries at the back of the binder housed in numerous 102 cards.
