No London markings so carried by ship and posted on arrival in Melbourne on JA*10/1850, very fine oval 'GEELONG/[crown]/JA*11/1850/PORT PHILLIP' arrival. Rated "10" in black. This was a duplicate letter and the original arrived at the same time so endorsed "1/8 postage 2 lets" on face. Also endorsed "Consignee" and "p 'Diadem'". [Part of the "cargo" on the Diadem was 228 orphan emigrants.] (Image1)
