Torres Strait Settlements: 1870s? set 2c-36c, design showing a flag on a peak, believed to be of 1870s origin, as first recorded in about 1879. Superb fresh M/MLH. Rarely seen full set of 6, usually 5 values at most seen, & usually w/o gum (the recent 'Brussels' find had no 2c at all). Similar nice quality set sold for $2500 in our auction 316.
