1921 (Feb 24) PPC to France (showing seated Aborigine), damaged in transit aboard SS Kalyan during a gale in the Mediterranean, the mail unloaded at Marseilles with 'ACCIDENT en MER/COURRIER INONDE' (accident at sea, flooded ship) Kalyan Type 5 cachet in blue applied (probably at Paris), Fremantle machine departure cancel on reverse, front and back of card have separated due to the water damage.
