Australforce 1940 annotated collection from the units making up Australforce, incl several covers with Tidworth paid cds or Salisbury paid machine cancels used by 18 Bde, FPO 444 used by Australian Forestry companies, FPO 445 used by 25 Bde, FPO 450 used by 2/1 Australian Railway Construction and later use by 2/3 Australian General Hospital on HMT Stratheden. Plus Home Depot REPS 7 used by an AIF detachment with the Royal Engineers Postal Unit. A difficult group to assemble particularly considering the mail problems experienced by Australforce, The Home Depot cancel is extremely scarce. (Most items in this lot are ex Phil Collas.)
