WWI INDIAN FPO TRIO: Group incl. 11 Nov. 1915 OAS env. to Eastbourne with 12a IEF issue cancelled by FPO 324 at Sheikh Othman and having v. fine Indian Expeditionary Force No 7 (Gurkha Rifles) circular censor mark in magenta; 6 Jan.1916 OAS env. to Bombay redirected to hospital in Suez, with good strikes of FPO 311 (Suez) and 323 (Aden Camp) along with I.E.F. 107 Censor mark and part 109th Infantry cachet; 18 Aug 1916 OAS env to Bombay with FPO 324 (Sheikh Othman) on reverse and violet No. 17 circular censor mark (probably Bombay) on front. WWI OAS GROUP & WWI NAVAL MAIL: Trio of cards/cover incl. 2 Oct. 1916 OAS env. addressed to the sender's Wine Merchant in Bristol! with v. fine strike of Aden A.39 censor cachet ("pie-crust" type) on front and FPO 324 (Sheikh Othman) on reverse; 17 Feb. 1916 OAS PPC to Liverpool cancelled with a Base Office "A" c.d.s. and 1 Oct. 1920 OAS PPC to Lincoln with Base Office Aden/I.E.F. cds. Also 16 Jun 1917 OAS env. to Cornwall bearing "pie-crust" censor mark A.108 with 2 line cachet "RECEIVED FROM H.M.S. SHIP/NO CHARGE.TO BE RAISED". Accompanied by contents which mentions the capture of Fort Saliff 14 Jun. 1917. Also, a PPC from H.M.S. Carlisle 4 Apr. 1919 which provisioned at Aden en route to China. (5 cards/covers) (Image)
