Group of 24 BNA Forgeries, best items include a vertical strip of six different Oneglia Newfoundland pence, fine but stain on center stamp, Spiro Newfoundland 3d triangle, with colour changeling genuine to compare, PEI Taylor 4p with mouth missing. Includes 2 New Brunswick, 10 Newfoundland (1 genuine), 8 Nova Scotia and 4 PEI, with a genuine 4p. Very useful reference material. A few faults but mostly fine. (Image)

Mailed Charlottenburg on OCT.10.1948 and OCT.19.1948 and both addressed to New York, with receivers on back. Both covers are signed in pencil by expert Bloch, and very fine. 1935 British Forces in Egypt Cover, mailed from Alexandria Egypt (with a lovely machine cancel dated NOV.27.1935) and addressed to Bournemouth, England. Franked with a 1p bright carmine Scott #M8 (ideally tied by the machine cancel) on a cover with a blue "4 FTS Royal Air Force" logo on its backflap. There are three more cancels, including a Port Said c.d.s., a faint censor in purple and another unidentifiable. Horizontal cease and opening tears, but a scarcely offered item. (Image)

Group of 25 Trans-Atlantic Covers from 1870s and 1880s, mostly all addressed to Prince Edward island and a few to New Brunswick, includes 19 covers franked with #33 (mostly with three copies, including some pairs), one has a missing stamp and one has an added #58. 1846 Cover to New Brunswick, franked with six copies of #4, being a single, a pair and a strip of three (Scott Specialized cat for stamps alone in these configurations is $600, and much more on cover). Mailed from Port Arlington (lovely blue c.d.s. dated MAY.12.1846 on front) to St Johns (with receiver dated JU?) and two transit datestamps MY 13 and MY 14. There is also a black straightline 'MORE TO PAY" on front, beside a fancy "2" due marking. A very clean and attractive cover. (Image)

1938 Incoming and Returned Cover, being a 3½d KGV stationery cover mailed from Newport Wales to G.P.O. Tibet and returned to England with manuscript "no such person at Tibet", two Gyantse datestamps (MAR.6 and MAR.10), handstamped to be returned to sender at the address shown on cover" and "undelivered for reasons stated". Then sent to the Calcutta D.L.O. with boxed receivers used there, sent to Bombay D.L.O. and arrived there on MAR.18. A much travelled and exciting piece of postal history not often seen. (Image)

Circa 1955 5 Trangka Rate Bisect Cover, bearing a 4 Trangka apple green (circa 1955) and a bisected 2 trangka properly tied by a fine Gyantse Type VIII datestamp. This native registered cover is addressed in Tibetan script, which is unusual, as Waterfall records that all but two bisect covers were mailed by Nepalese. Fine wax seal in black, very scarce and attractive. (Image)
