Group of Early Combination Franking Covers, 1869 to 1873, with two September 1871 covers, each franked with a 20c Ceres, two 2c and one 1c Napoleons paying the 25c city to city rate, effective in September 1871. An 1869 folded letter addressed to Prussia is franked with a vertical pair of 20c plus a single 10c Napoleon (perforation faults) paying the proper 50c rate. Also an 1873 cover to a cheese dealer in Switzerland, franked with a 25c and a 5c Ceres. A colourful group, with file creases and a few small faults, else fine or better. (Image)
