Front of a commercial cover that containg samples, sent from Gronau to Argentina by ZEPPELIN on 21/OC/1932, it bears 2 meter postages totalling 16.25MK., a special handstamp of the flight, and transit mark of Friedrichshafen for 24/OC, with defects but very attractive and interesting! (Image)

PLANE CRASH: Cover sent to Buenos Aires by airplane Dornier Tapajoz, which crashed on 3/MAY/1934 while it landed in Rio de Janeiro, when it crashed against steamer Westphalen and sank. Two members of the crew died, and the mail was recovered, although very damaged (very wet). The cover has evident signs of the accident, and on back an official seal of the Argentine Mail, rare!
