Imperial eagle franked in tarif on double weight cover from Johannsen on Nauru with registration label No. 44 and two clear cds "MARSHAL'S ISLANDS JALUIT 06/20/90" and backside transit "REGISTERED LETTER OFFICE SYDNEY N.S.W. AU.4.90", German TPO mark from 9.9. and arrival ITZEHOE 09/10/90. The letter has gone through the mail correctly and was transported by steamer "Janet Nicoll", which left Jaluit as the single connection in the last days of June and which also took the post for the United States via Sidney. Registered letters with Pfennig stamps fromthe Marshall Islands from this early period are rare! 1889, 20 Pfg dark ultramarine in the block of four with centric and clear cancel "MARSCHALL ISLANDS JALUIT 08/11/89" as correctly franked multiple franking on international letter to 60 gr via San Franciso to Ganesville, Wisconsin (Blind School) with arrival mark. Acorrding to the weight the cover has stronger edge and transport tracks and at the right side by opening slightly shortened.
