1921 (Dec 2) Perth-Geraldton cover to "Rev W Sharp/Rector/Carnarvon" endorsed "Per Aerial Mail" in red with KGV 5d tied by Perth machine cancel, largely very fine strike of the 'PERTH DERBY/4DE21/ W A /AERIAL MAIL' cds, light central fold & repaired flap, Cat $1100. [Three aircraft were involved. After leaving Geraldton, one was forced to land & a second crashed while investigating, killing the pilot. Norman Brearley abandoned the flight & returned to Perth with the mail. The mail was consigned to SS 'Bambra' & delivered by sea] The illustration is above Lot 259.
