REPTON - A RARE COMPETITION BALLOON CARD:Nov. 1922 A small 1d postcard numbered 121 sent on a small balloon from The Hall, Repton and picked up in Fulstow Churchyard Lincs. at 7.a.m. on Nov 14 1922 The card is addressed to The Hall at Repton with the message "PLEASE POST THIS POSTCARD/WHEN FOUND" but uncancelled so may not have been returned. Of particular note an 1851 EL ex Buckfastleigh to Wellington, Somerset bearing 1d red imperf cancelled by fine blue "29" numeral. Later covers incl.
