MANCHESTER - EARLY TRIO of ELs all with faults but complete, inc. a letter dated 1650 from Humfrey Chetham "To his very loving friend Mr Raphe Worsley at his house in Rusholme" (with transcript), a 1692 letter from the Bishop of Manchester "Pd 2d", and a 1703/4 letter (paper repaired & strengthened) addressed "For Richard Entwistle Esq. at Foxholes near Rochdale in Lancashire. The Postmaster of Stone is desired to forward this by Manchester. Post paid to Stone 2d" endorsed with mss "Wrexham" on reverse. Interesting historical items.
