P." types. Also a Colyton Penny Post mark. Of particular note a 20 Jan. 1851 EL ex Bampton to South Molton bearing close cut 1d red imperf. cancelled by v.fine blue "802" numeral of Bampton and on rear flap a superb strike of the "BAMPTON-D" c.d.s. also in blue. Earlier items incl. 1805 wrapper to London with v.fine "ILFRACOMBE/226" mileage mark (DN 795), 1830s trio of ELs with "ILFRACOMBE" UDCs and 1828 EL ex Ilfracombe to London with boxed, italic "Barnstaple/PennyPost" (DN 77).
