1890 Conversazione at the Guildhall, invitation ticket with illustration of Rowland Hill and a VR 1d black, numbered "56", unnamed; and 1890 Post Office Christmas cards with illustration of the Guildhall postcard and postmarks and the South Kensington envelope and postmarks, the two versions of the card (with "1890-91" date in black or grey), also the "Bray" forgery. The ticket with very minor soiling but scarce and attractive, one Christmas card with minor edge creasing, otherwise fine. (4).

1911 (Sep 9) Violet London to Windsor postcard with the printed text "Souvenir of the First United Kingdom Aerial Post". With the Compliments of the Founder. This Post Card was carried in the First Bag and on the First Journey from London to Windsor", signed by Walter Windham, addressed to "Hedges Butler Esq., Royal Aero Club, Piccadilly" and redirected to 155 Regent St., a KEVII ½d tied by the London Aerial Post c.d.s code "4". Hedges Butler was the founder of the Royal Aero Club, and had his own printed advert card sent by the 1911 Aerial Post. Brazil. 1911 (Sep 9) Green postcard to Rio de Janeiro bearing two KGV ½d stamps each cancelled by the London Aerial Post c.d.s code 2, a third strike unusually alongside, arrival c.d.s (Oct 2) on the front. Corner and edge creasing, pinhole and tear at upper edge below the left stamp (with old tape stain on reverse and stamp a little stained), still a very reasonable looking card to a scarce destination.

1919 (Oct 1) Cover from Newcastle on Tyne to the Orient Line in London franked 1½d + 1/- (2), flown by emergency government air service during the railway strike, backstamped in Newcastle and London (Oct. 2, 3.30pm), flown on October 2nd, the first day mail was flown from Newcastle to London. A little soiling to edge and reverse and small edge tears but scarce and clearly commercial, the majority of surviving flown covers having been sent by philatelists.
