BAVARIA: Specialised accumulation in stockbook, duplicated array identified by Michel including 1850-58 1kr x5, 3r x20, 6kr x14, 9kr x15 and 12kr x2 with variety of shades & numeral cancels plus four-margin 18kr yellow-orange fine used, 1862 group including 18kr x8, 1867-68 Arms imperf including 6kr brown x4 and 12kr x2 four-margin fine used, 1870-75 Arms range including some identified as Narrow Wmk, also a few * plus 10kr fine used, then quantity of later issues noted 1911 Luitpold Type I 2M x4, 3M x3 and 5M used, some marginal blocks */** including 'Freistaat/Bayern' overprints on 1M 2M 3M & 5M in complete sheelets of 20 (*), a few commercial perfins, also officials, Postage Dues including 1870 1Kr used, 'Retourbriefe' seals, Railway stamps, a few covers & stationery including 1891 50pf 'Telephon-Billet', etc, plus small selections of other States noted Mecklenburg-Schwerin 1865 3s used and Prussia 1868 4pf *, lots of postmark interest but also some dubious cancels seen, condition variable but many fine. BAVARIA: 1886 cover to "British Burmah" endorsed "via Brindisi" with Arms 20pf 'solo' tied 'NURNBERG/4/3/86' cds, carried via Bombay-Aden Sea Post with fine strike of 'SEA/POST OFFICE/A/MAR.12 86' b/s, 'RANGOON/ MAR23' (no year) arrival on face where re-directed to Mandalay and endorsement altered to "via Prome" for carriage by riverboat north up the Irrawaddy River, small 'RANGOON/MA29/86' and 'MANDALAY/AP2' thimble b/s, couple of minor blemishes. Very early inwards Burmese riverboat mail.
