French Africa

image Sale No: TDC5
Lot No:121
Symbol:PR
Cat No:Collection

FRENCH AFRICA - DELUXE PROOFS. Very eye catching and sharp accumulation of close to 400 deluxe proof sheets from around the French African possessions (includes some St. Thomas & Prince Island too). Some of the most numerous sections include Togo, Chad, Mali Djibouti and others, mostly from the post colonial period. Certainly an appealing lot for anyone specializing in the French African philately as such accumulation does not come along often in one bulk offering. The duplication levels are high on some issues as duplicates could run into 20-30 range, but generally are well within manageable levels. Whether dealer wanting to spice up their French African lots or collectors looking to further enhance their collection this is a very interesting lot indeed, VERY FINE Estimate $1,250-1,500. Donated by Earl P.L. Apfelbaum Inc.
