1939 (Feb 14; Valentine's Day) oversize cover (315x240mm) registered to NSW with 75c olive, Castles etc 3fr strip of 3, 5fr pair, 10fr single & pair and 20fr single & pair plus Ader 50fr x3 all tied by 'PARIS 35/R CAMBUN' (?) cds, Sydney arrival b/s of 24FE39, rather knocked-about but most of the stamps are sound to fine. Despite the faults, an impressive piece with an equally appealing franking. [The rate was 12fr25c for 160-180gm + airmail surcharge 7fr per 5gm x35 + 2fr registration = 259fr25c so overpaid 50c!]

The error occured due to one 15c cliché being inadvertantly inserted into the plate of 10c stamps, and was corrected during the printing.
