Datelined folded letter with enclosed letter bearing perfect bold strike of "Vice-Consulat de France A Nassau, N.P., Bahamas" circular consular handstamp, forwarded to New York with "Forwarded, by, H.W. Newman & Co." three-line handstamp on flap, red "New.York, Am. Packet. Jul 23" exchange cds, carried transatlantic by Pacific, entered mails with red Paris (8.5) cds and Bordeaux arrival backstamp; some faults, Fine and rare use, This is the only recorded example of this French Vice-Consulate of Nassau cachet handstamp.
