1853 (Jun. 18) Nassau, Bahamas to Bordeaux, France via New York. Datelined folded letter with enclosed letter bearing perfect bold strike of "Vice-Consulat de France A Nassau, N.P., Bahamas" circular consular handstamp, forwarded to New York with "Forwarded, by, H.W. Newman & Co." three-line handstamp on flap, red "New.York, Am. Packet. Jul 23" exchange cds, carried transatlantic by Pacific, entered mails with red Paris (8.5) cds and Bordeaux arrival backstamp; some faults, Fine and rare use, This is the only recorded example of this French Vice-Consulate of Nassau cachet handstamp.

Sep 3, 1858" cds paying the 15¢ treaty rate, red "New York, Paid 3, Sep 11" exchange credit cds to France for inland, carried on Vanderbilt Line North Star from New York Sep 11th to Le Havre arriving Sep. 25th, Le Havre (9.25) entry datestamp noting American service direct to France, two strikes of red "PD" framed handstamp in red, backstamped on the railway post offices from Le Havre to Paris, Paris to Lyon, and Lyon to Marseilles, Very Fine and rare, with 2002 P.S.E. certificate.

Two folded letter by Cunard Line from Liverpool to the U.S. from the same correspondence five months apart, both endorsed to be sent from France by the Cunard Line, one with correct "Br Service" framed handstamp and other with incorrect "Am Service", both bearing France 80c carmine and red "Boston, Paid 15" exchange cds, Very Fine exhibit pair, ex-Feldman.
