Triple-weight Watts correspondence cover with "St. Pierre et Miquelon, 24 Fevr. 75" origin cds bearing Newfoundland 1873 3d blue (34) pair and single, manuscript cancels, mails could not depart due to winter storms and harbor ice, additional St. Pierre (3.31) departure cds to Halifax arriving with Apr. 5th backstamp where Canada 3c Small Queen (37) vertical pair and single affixed and cancelled by two oval grids along with the Newfoundland franking, the Newfoundland blue crayon "16" crossed out as well as the "9" for Canada, sent by mail ship to Newfoundland departing Halifax Apr. 14th but again delayed due to ice reaching St. John's Apr. 28th, St. John's (4.29) transit backstamp, Harbor Grace (4.29) arrival cds; minor edge tear, Very Fine, ex-Reford, Jephcott, Simpson.
