1923 (3 June) Chinese red-band cover with red "Moorea Oceania" departure pmk, date filled-in by hand, arriving in Papeete 5 June, charged 10c in blue crayon, with the addition of diagonal half of 1fr postage due, paying 50c postage due. Since the inter-Colonial rate was 25c, it is possible that the cover came from outside the Colony, arriving in Moorea and then sent to Papeete. The 50c due represents double the deficiency and there was a shortage of 50c postage dues, fine (Image)
