Stamp Boxes - Silver: selection with [1] 1903 Gourdel Vales single-size case in form of envelope with fob ring; [2] 1910-11 Adie & Lovekin double-size in form of envelope, some dimpling;  [3] 1918 Crisford & Norris single-size case in form of a satchel; [4] unhallmarked sized case in shape of envelope with fob ring; [5] unhallmarked single-sized, double compartment case, missing a closing clip, with fob loop; all cases more or less dented, however hinging/clasping working on all (except item 5), allowing them to be opened and closed, total weight 30gr; also [6] an aluminium 'STAMPS/MATCHES' case (62x39mm) with 1892 patent mark. Stamp Boxes: 20th century brass Chinese made stamp box (100x46x31mm) with three sloped compartments, coloured enamel floral design, weight 149gr; plus plain bakelite stamp box (81x33x20mm) also with three sloped compartments, marked 'Stamps" in worn gold lettering, weight 23gr; also Stamp/Coin Wallets: comprising 1888 H.W.Bedford Regent St (London) snakeskin stamp/card wallet with silver corners, in good condition; Birmingham made leather purse, two silver corners and a silver clasp, four internal compartments; Russian leather "sovereign" purse with 9 individual coin pouches within, tear at front. 1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition: Award Medal in bronze, 76 mm, 180gms. Inscribed SILVER MEDAL. The obverse shows a seated female figure with olive branch in one hand and a plaque of George Washington in the other. She is flanked by two prospectors or pioneers, as well as an Indian in a canoe. The text at the edge reads: "Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition 1909 Seattle 1909". The reverse has an ornate floral wreath with a blank inscription plaque and "Silver Medal" above. Made by the Gorham Company, Providence Rhode Island; signed by Franz Zeigler. Superb condition, in original box of issue by Albert Hansen of Seattle. (Image)
