1917 Winnipeg to Bahamas Special Delivery Cover, mailed at Winnipeg on JAN.29.1917 and franked with a 2c + 1c War Tax Admiral coil single, plus a Bahamas 5d Queen's Staircase (E1) single, addressed to Nassau Bahamas, with FEB.5 receiver on back. During a short period, Bahamas Special Delivery stamps were sold in Ottawa, Toronto, Westmount (Montréal) and Winnipeg post offices and could be used on mail destined there, and cancelled upon arrival. Very fine, and desirable as Winnipeg usages are the scarcest. (Image)
