Used during construction phase of the Adelaide-Alice Springs Line; replaced by the Quorn-Alice Springs TPO service.
Lake Nash (1): Queensland-pattern double-oval 'ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH OFFICE/[LAKE] NASH' (TO period) on paper wafer across the flap on 1904 Tatts cover with Qld 1d & 2d x3 tied by poor cancels of 'CAMOOWEAL' (cds below), 2-line 'REGISTERED/...' h/s. Rated RRRRR. TO 5.11.1899; PO c. -.8.1915; TO c.1923; closed 31.5.1928. Ex 'Tamiami'. [The only other recorded example on cover, routed via Urandangie, sold at our auction of 7.4.2019 for $431. This cover was hiding in the Queensland albums!]
