Pine Creek: 'PINE CREEK/DE10/02/SA' cds three strikes on Tannenberg 2½d x8 & curved 'REGISTERED/No...' h/s, on piece from a linen bag that probably contained ore samples. [Goldmining; Northern Territory]
Quorn-Alice Springs TPO: 'QUORN-ALICE SPRINGS/19MR37/TPO' superb strike on philatelic US 2c Reply Postal Card. Rated RRR. From Quorn-Stuart TPO 25.7.1930; renamed Central Australia Railway 11.3.1957. ['QUORN' & 'TPO' are in smaller letters. It is almost certain that this is a major recut, the cds being initially inscribed 'QUORN-OODNADATTA', the original form never having been seen]
Rumbalara: 'RUMBALARA/23AP40/C.A.' (= Central Australia) largely fine strike on Turley cover with central fold & minor spotting. Telegraph Office only 1.12.1930; closed 18.5.1943. [Central Australia was a separate administrative area between 1927 & 1931. The only 'CA' datestamps were issued to TOs at Rumbalara & Edwards Creek, in the far north of South Australia: see Lot 1328]
