Quorn-Alice Springs TPO: 'QUORN-ALICE SPRINGS/19MR37/TPO' superb strike on philatelic US 2c Reply Postal Card. Rated RRR. From Quorn-Stuart TPO 25.7.1930; renamed Central Australia Railway 11.3.1957. ['QUORN' & 'TPO' are in smaller letters. It is almost certain that this is a major recut, the cds being initially inscribed 'QUORN-OODNADATTA', the original form never having been seen]

[Central Australia was a separate administrative area between 1927 & 1931. The only 'CA' datestamps were issued to TOs at Rumbalara & Edwards Creek, in the far north of South Australia: see Lot 1328]
