Incoming Mail Folded lettersheet from Scotland to Island of St. John (name changed to Prince Edward Island in 1798) with "Edin. 2 March 1791" dateline, clear circular POST PAID handstamp and rated "1/7" via London and carried on Falmouth packet to Halifax, two different Bishop marks in red on reverse along with very fine strike of rare split double circle Halifax May 22 91 N. Scotia transit datestamp (Macdonald HAL-4b). An appealing and very early cover mailed to present day PEI (ERD is August 1789), VF (Image)

Extensive Mint / Used Assortment from 1861 to 1872 Issues On stockpages with an excellent range of the elusive 1861 perf 9 issues including mint OG or unused #1 (2), 1a (2), #2 two shades OG; #3 two examples in mixed condition, used #1 (four, one completely sound), #2 two; #1a VF single with some perf flaws grid cancelled on clean July 1862 cover Summerside to Charlottetown, then a remarkable range of 1862-1870 pence issues from early to late printings on various papers including myriad shades (ideal for study), etc. Some flaws to be expected but overall condition is quite nice from unused no gum to superb mint hinged or NH, plus many used examples in usual mixed condition; also 1872 Cents issues with shades and varieties, offers plenty of material for further specialization. Impressive Lot of Mint / NH Multiples Displayed on stockpages with 34 mint blocks of four or larger, mainly different including printings and shades. Several elusive items including 1p corner margin NH block of an early printing, two 2p rose NH blocks of six with "TWC" variety, 3p blue (5 blocks, three different printings, most NH), 4p black on yellowish VF NH, 4½p brown impressive right sheet margin block of six (2x3) with horizontal gutter margin between top pairs and pristine NH original gum, also three 4½p VF blocks, the elusive 6p yellow green, the difficult 9p violet with four blocks (3 shades) with many NH; Cents issues with the tough 2c - a rarely seen VF NH block (folded vertically between pairs), 3c rose NH block, etc. A wonderful lot for the advanced collector; many of these are difficult to find in any condition let alone in the nice quality in this lot.
